On Saturday, April 30, 2011 MetLife teamed with Rebuilding Together St. Louis for Rebuilding Day in North St. Louis City, where 13 homes were repaired and renovated by hardworking volunteers. The photo above shows the group who worked on a home on Athlon in the 21st ward.

Mosby Building Arts project manager Kevin Howard (above left) is a veteran Rebuilding Together volunteer, and served as House Captain for the renovations to the home of Hortense (above middle).

Repairs to her home included windows, the front porch, interior painting and doing something about the back porch, shown above.

Kevin recruited several Mosby employees to help on Rebuilding Day.

Diverse events at the conventions and hotels have special guests along with many audiences. There is a good need of security based on the venue. Hi-tech security cameras are utilized to ensure safety and protection of all individuals at the premises.
Hospitality industry pros through surveillance
Guest safety – With security cameras the venue is safe from any kind of violence or theft. Guests are protected when right kind of camera surveillance is present on the site to keep an eye on criminal activities.
Remote navigation – You can keep an eye on the event location from remotely connected computer or cell phone with internet access. To

Here is something I learned this winter: My citrus trees (I have an orange tree that was a mothers day gift about 4 years ago and a lime tree that was a gift from my mother about 3 years ago) prefer a bit more winter cold than I thought they would. For many years I was bringing them into my living room for the winter. Every year, they complained (as loudly a citrus trees can complain) about the dryness and the scale that unrelentingly attacked them was just one big gross mess. Needless to say, they have never thrived enough to actually set fruit.
But this year, I kept them in the much cooler 3 -seasons porch. I knew they wouldn’t freeze solid, but I was concerned that I was taking my chances with killing them with a bit too much cold. Caution was thrown to the wind. Because I also had about a dozen other plants there (babysitting the neighbors houseplants) the room stayed very humid and the result is that for the first time, I have baby fruit. I also didn’t have a stitch of scale. Fingers crossed that the oranges and limes will be harvest-able before the end of the summer season — because I am making this beauty of a cake that I found via poppytalk even if I have to go to the grocery store to do it!
Appollina created it after being inspired by a Stella McCartney dress. Don’t you just love the creative process and seeing where the ideas for beautiful things like this comes from!

1. Photo Shrine Celebrate a fun memory by including 3D elements and decorating a box to serve as a frame. Now your photo is a piece of art!
2. DVD Box Valentine Make a tribute to your love using a DVD box from your favorite movie. Include charms and trinkets to represent things that are meaningful to you both.
3. Tiny Matchbox Shrines These sparkly little shrines would make great pins, magnets, or dashboard decorations.
4. Altered Book Shrine Take an old book destined for the landfill, hollow it out, and create a small shrine inside.

Earlier this week, I wrote a couple of posts describing the features of cold cathode fluorescent light bulbs. CCFLs are not new to the lighting world, but their technology has improved significantly over the past few years, and they are an excellent option for energy-efficient lighting. We have been adding over 20 different models of CCFLs to pegasuslighting.com, so this week has been a “CCFL debut” on the blog.
To read about the basic technology that differentiates CCFLs from standard CFLs and other light bulbs, catch up with this post.
In short, CCFLs are extremely durable in design, which gives them very unique dimming capabilities. Fluorescent lighting typically does not perform well with dimming. However, CCFLs can be dimmed down to 5% of their light output without diminishing lifetime.
With all the energy-efficient lighting options out there, it’s important to discuss which applications work best for each product. For example, LED linear tubes are not yet viable replacements for fluorescents in commercial spaces such as schools, hospitals, and offices because their performance falls short of claims. However,
