You Don’t Talk To A Conversation

Once again, I see the spectre of age-rage happening around the blogosphere. Whats with all the lets-get-the-young-people-gardening angst and counter-angst?

It might help by starting with a quote from Marshall Macluhan to set the stage, Youth instinctively understands the present environment the electric drama. It lives mythically and in depth.

‘SheLLf’ by Ka-Lai Chan

Dutch designer Ka-Lai Chan has produced a limited edition of the SheLLf bookcase for Kristalia that will only be at Salone Internazionale del Mobile.

The title of Ka-Lais latest product is in fact a linguistic and conceptual amalgamation of ‘shell’ and ‘shelf’. Like a shell, it undulates from flatness to depth, creating a dynamic space. Made of separate compartments that are arranged in a gently increasing and decreasing way, it seems as if the shelf is crawling across the wall, literally growing out of the wall, like an animal crawling out of its shell.

I’m Thinking of Stealing Some Plants This Spring

Every now and then, I check whos stealing my images from my websites and whos copying my articles for their own website use.

Normally, the number one culprit are the spammers and scrapers who send their bots out to find stuff and mechanically insert it into spam webpages. This week, that was true again.

But running a close second were the garden centers, nurseries, landscapers and landscape architects.

Somebody must have told them they needed a website so they went out and built one stealing the images they needed. In this case, taking the image of this vegetable garden. I note this image appeared on blogs, websites, and even their facebook accounts as their profile picture.
