Welcome to Breakthrough Design, my name is Fred Yates, the creator of BTD. I am a freelance web designer and have been working with interactive media for over five years. I enjoy developing sites for small businesses and organizations, I'd love to find out what I can do for yours too!

About Me

Originally, I am from East Hartford, Connecticut but currently reside in Boston, Massachusetts. My life outside the web revolves around PC gaming, golf, the Red Sox, anything from the 1930s to the 1970s, and if the site wasn't a tip, I'm a huge aviation enthusiast. If you're really curious about some of my othere interests, feel free to check out my delicious. My whole life I had plans of making a living as a pilot of any type but during high school I could see web design speeding towards me in my rear view mirror.

Now that web design has pushed aside my goals of flying for a living, I have satisfied with learning to fly as a hobby. I love what I do. Web design is an art form and while it may not be as delicate and appreciated as some other fine arts it takes just as much passion, artistry, and creativity. I pride myself on being able to create appealing sites while always adhering firmly to web standards and strong design practices.
